By accessing and using O Meu Livro ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

O Meu Livro provides an AI-powered platform for creating personalized children's storybooks. Our services include:

• Digital book creation with AI-generated stories and illustrations
• Photo upload and character customization
• PDF download of completed books
• Optional hardcover book printing and delivery

3. User Account

To use our service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Content Ownership and License

Your Content: You retain ownership of all photos and content you upload to our service. By uploading content, you grant us a license to use, modify, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing our services.

Generated Content: Stories and illustrations generated by our AI become your property upon creation. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes.

5. Payment and Pricing

Our pricing structure:

• Digital books: €6.99 per book
• Hardcover add-on: +€27.99 (can be added during creation or later)
• All prices include applicable VAT
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• No refunds after book generation is completed

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
• Use the service for commercial purposes without authorization
• Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise our systems
• Share account credentials with third parties
• Upload photos of individuals without their consent

7. Intellectual Property

All aspects of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of O Meu Livro or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

O Meu Livro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
